A Philosophy Built Around Becoming
No Arrival is Eric Steele’s working philosophy for a life in motion: strive, learn, build, question, adapt, and refuse to mistake any finish line for a permanent final state.
No Arrival does not reject achievement.
It rejects the assumption that achievement completes the person who achieves it.
A race finish, business milestone, degree, relationship, recovery milestone, creative project, promotion, or reinvention can be deeply meaningful. But life continues after the moment. New conditions emerge. New questions appear. Identity keeps moving.
No Arrival is the practice of committing fully to goals without asking those goals to provide permanent completion.
Action over paralysis.
Movement generates information. The next useful step often appears only after the wheels are already turning.
No belief becomes untouchable.
Questions keep identity, systems, assumptions, and old successes from becoming cages.
No final form.
The person doing the work is changed by the work. Growth remains open-ended.
The philosophy came out of a lived path.
Eric Steele is a Wichita, Kansas-based speaker, consultant, entrepreneur, writer, and longtime ultrarunner. His life and work have crossed endurance sports, race directing, database marketing, entrepreneurship, public speaking, leadership, loss, recovery, reinvention, and ongoing creative work.
No Arrival emerged from that accumulation rather than from a single academic framework. It is less a doctrine than a way of interpreting motion, ambition, identity, uncertainty, and change.
Movement and No Arrival belong to the same worldview.
Steele’s professional moniker, Mr Prime Mover, reflects an emphasis on motion, systems, leverage, curiosity, and forward movement. No Arrival addresses the other half of the same tension: movement matters precisely because there is no permanent terminal state where growth is finished.
The writing of Neil Peart was an important influence, especially ideas related to motion, self-direction, curiosity, and the ongoing journey. No Arrival is Steele’s own philosophical development from those and many other lived influences.
No Arrival is also an upcoming book.
Eric Steele is developing a book under the No Arrival title exploring endurance, identity, transformation, ambition, loss, reinvention, achievement, curiosity, and what happens after the finish lines people spend years chasing.
Publication is currently planned for late 2027.
